1958-64 Impala 2-piece driveshaft with polyurethane center support bearing and telescoping slip/spline rear section. Engine and transmission swap? Carrier bearing woes? Diff swap? Air Bags? All of these common modifications and issues with the OEM impala 2-piece driveshafts are easily solved by going to our custom built Impala 2-piece telescoping driveshaft with poly center support bearing. The polyurethane bearing gives you the rigidity required when running more modern engine and transmission combos, while the telescoping rear section allows for all of the driveshaft movement to be contained in the rear half of the driveshaft. Giving this shaft a slip and spline in the rear half is beneficial for all Impalas, but is especially necessary for an airbag suspension. No more blown out carrier bearings!
This shaft is made with USA made DOM 2"x.120" tubing, Neapco solid-cross u-joints, polyurethane center support bearing, and your choice of transmission slip yoke. The shaft comes fully assembled, high-speed balanced, and ready to install right out of the box.
